Health Commissioner
Deborah McMahan, MD
The Health Commissioner's responsibilities include developing, assessing and
overseeing all public health programs and services, including enforcing all
applicable public health laws, ordinances and regulations. The Health
Commissioner also serves as the Medical Director for the Department's STD Clinic,
Community Health Nursing Clinic and Infectious Disease Center. (Biography)
Department Administrator
Mindy Waldron, BS, REHS, CFSP![]()
The Administrator manages day-to-day operations of the department which
consists of 13 divisions and more than 65 full and part-time staff members. Each
division has its own facility needs, staffing requirements and budgetary factors.
The Administrator also prepares the department's annual budget and works
with the Health Commissioner on long-range strategic planning. (Biography)
