Because people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors, the risks to health from exposure to indoor air pollution may be greater than risks from outdoor pollution. Indoor air pollutants can include biological pollutants like mold, dust mites and pet dander and chemical pollutants like radon, carbon monoxide and  tobacco smoke.
